Pay Attention to the Burger Behind the Curtain!

Le Parker Meridien - by all means, a classy place to be; yet this beautiful hotel has a splendid secret hidden amidst the columned and mirrored wonder that is the ground floor entranceway. If you tread the marble floors to the middle of the hall, you will find the Burger Joint nestled quietly behind a curtain. I could barely believe it as my friend led us into a completely different delicious-smelling world. The room was small, but incredibly full of character, the wooden walls had names and messages carved into the parts of the walls that were not covered by posters. The menu was very simple: burgers, with all the trimmings (or not, depending on your preference), fries, pickles, beer, soda, lemonade, milkshakes, and brownies, and as a sign summed up- ‘If you don’t see it, we don’t have it.’ There was also a customer seated at the counter who looked suspiciously like Don Cheadle…
The cost of a burger was around $5-6, depending on what you put on it, and for that price in New York, for that taste, I was astounded. Quite possibly the best that I have ever eaten! Definitely a place to take your friends, whether for quality, or for intrigue.
