Lunch at Lincoln Center
by jenniferw
Looking to catch a movie one afternoon at the Loews Lincoln Square, a few friends and myself were on the prowl for a bite that would be close by, and that wasn’t about to break our wallets. After a short walk, we discovered a restaurant by the name of Peter’s. Columbus Avenue isn’t exactly short on cute little cafes, but this one caught my attention. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with wide-open glass panel doors and the menu appeared to be varied and interestingly eclectic even for lunchtime. The lentil and tomato soup that I ordered was terrific, and filled me up very nicely to serve as an entire meal. I dabbled in the pastas of my other friends, and it seemed that you couldn’t go wrong by ordering other traditional Italian dishes either. I would definitely stop by for dinner if given another chance.
To get there, simply take the 1 to 66th St. - Lincoln Center, and the walk over to 182 Columbus is a snap.
