I would go back and forth on Watts occasionally waiting for this restaurant to open. It was long worth the wait. I attended Lola is Soul as a guest at a private function. The ambiance for me seems like a revival. The royal purple and gold ceiling trimmings set the standard for the dining atmosphere. The bar staff was very accommodating, especially when I requested a coffee at 2pm.

The food also hit the spot. I remember the chicken and the mac and cheese being savory. The meatloaf also had it own spin to it. I am looking forward to going back to taste the ribs.
